Student Enterprise Bootcamps

The Hampshire Enterprise Bootcamp is a successful event tailored for student enterprise which is now running in its third year. Rosy Jones of FP enterprises was instrumental in its conception and set up and has been facilitating the boot camp for the last two years.

40 students take part in the residential boot camp, 10 from each of the four universities in Hampshire, which introduces them to aspects of enterprise covering the three core principles of enterprise education of Business Understanding, Financial Literacy and Enterprise skills or capabilities.

The students work in teams to develop or tackle a challenge that we have set. This may be to come up with a business idea, or to work on a more focused target – for example, to design a product or service that is based on “safety in the home”. This flexibility in the format means that the task can be focused on an area that you, or a local business or charity are particularly interested in, and also allows for local contacts to be involved.
